Carter County Sheriff’s Office Launches New Website

The Carter County Sheriff’s Office launched a new Website on June 25, 2015 where residents can find the latest information regarding the operations of the Sheriff’s Office as well as locate area sex offenders. The new Website will serve as an information resource for the public and assist with community policing efforts.

The new Website, www.CarterCountyMOSheriff.org, features press releases, messages from Sheriff Stephens which are updated frequently, pages on the services of each division of the Sheriff’s Office, as well as a link to submit crime tips via email.

“The safety of county residents is our primary concern at the Sheriff’s Office. We feel the sex offender Website map feature allows us to better-protect county residents by keeping them informed,” stated Sheriff Stephens.

Other features of the Website include:

Social Media Links – allows the public to follow the Carter County Sheriff’s Office on Facebook.

Most Wanted Listings – allows the public to view photos and descriptions of wanted individuals.

Text Notification System Sign Up- Allows the public to sign up for emergency notifications via their cell phone

Sex Offenders – allows the public to view photos and information for sex offenders living in the county.  The interactive map feature on the Website allows the public to view sex offender locations on the map, view offender photos and profile information about the offenses.

“Posting information on the Website improves the efficiency of the Sheriff’s Office and enables our citizens to easily obtain information with very little effort. This tool will allow us to devote more resources to the safety and security of our residents. Additionally, the new Website provides greater transparency for the Sheriff’s Office and encourages the public to take a more active role in community policing efforts. Our intent is for every County resident to visit the site and become familiar with how to locate sex offenders, how to submit a crime tip and where to find the latest news and updates from the Sheriff’s Office. We believe the Website is a huge benefit to the Sheriff’s Office and the residents of Carter County as well,” said Sheriff Stephens.

For more information about the Website please contact the Carter County Sheriff’s Office at 573-323-4510 or visit www.CarterCountyMOSheriff.org.
